YMCA swim class graduate

Well, Reid made it through his first swim class and now has a soggy certificate to prove it. We will put it in his hope chest and maybe one day he will ask about it. He continues to be the true joy of our life!!

Eating his first biscuit

Reid is making the transition from baby food to regular food here by eating a biscuit for the first time.

Reid the Reader........

Reid loves it when his mommy reads to him at night.

Gift from Reid's Godfather

Reid received a great slide from his godfather Jacob this year for Christmas and this weekend his dad finally got it assembled and he tried it out.

Swim Lesson Update

Reid is really enjoying his swim lessons at the YMCA and so is Daddy. Here is the dynamic duo in action at pool side.

6 Months Old!!

Reid turned 6 months old on 9 January 2009 and celebrated by spending the day with dad at home and helping him get his honey do's done. Also of note is that Reid was promoted to roughneck from roustabout on this day, I felt it was appropriate given he likes to grab everything and throw it around. To top off his 1/2 year b-day, Reid went to the doctor for his check up, he weighs 18.5 lbs and is 26 inches in length.

My Favorite People

Here are my two favorite people in the world!

Christmas Time Happenings

Here are some scenes from our Christmas this year. Apparently wrapping paper must taste like baby food because Reid tried to eat every piece he could get his hands on!! The Kelley's have been blessed this year, not only with Reid, but also with our family and friends. Kayli(4) is holding Lauren (4.5 months) Austin (2) is holding Reid.

First Swim Lesson

This was the scene the morning of Reid's first swim lesson at the YMCA. Reid really enjoyed himself even though he water was a bit colder than his bath water. Merrick had the pleasure of participating in the class with Reid and is looking forward to next Saturday morning when they will hit the pool again. Mom provided morale support from the sidelines (I think she was really there to make sure Daddy didn't dunk the little man under the water)!!

Long Walk.............

So, the Kelley's resolved to start walking again in the new year and Lisa mapped out a course in our neighbor that at first didn't seem all that far, needless to say the mission was cut short but Lisa, Merrick and Reid did make it to the lake in the neighborhood and fed the ducks a lot of bread crumbs. Reid was amazed with the ducks and kept one eye on them and one eye on his mother the entire time.

Twin Screw Coming Thru Jr.

Little Reid found some old school bling in daddy's drawer and decided to sport around one day. By the looks of things we may have a little sailor on our hands.

We are current!!!!!

Poor Reid has a cough due to cold. I tried everything to protect my sweet baby from illness, but he got sick. He first went to the doctor or I spoke to him on Friday 12/26, Monday 12/28, and then on Wednesday 12/31. What can you say, I am a first time mom. Reid has to now get breathing treatments. He is such a trooper.

Reid's third/four months went by so fast!!!!!

He was baptised on October 26 and celebrated his first Halloween as a cat! MEOW!!!!!
Many special people came to see him including Granny and Mimi (his great-grandmas) and both sets of grandparents were there!!!! Jacob from New York and Parker from Waco.

He also went to the pumpkin patch for the first time. Man, did I learn a lesson. Children are EXTREMELY hard to photograph and boy do they get tired to getting their pictures taken.

Reid also had his first non relative babysitter. My good friend Lindsey( who is due in February) watched sweet Reid during Mickey's retirement party.

Reid's 2nd Month

The second month was better!!!! Reid was sleeping more and sometimes even slept through the night.

He was 13.7 pounds and 22 inches.

He held a rattle on 9/13.

He batted at objects on 9/15.

BUT the most important thing that Reid did this month was go on his first airplane trip to Indiana and meet his Honey, G-Pa, and Great Grandma Menke.
