1st month

OK...so I was planning on posting every event that Reid did since July 9th! However I am going to give a quick run down and start fresh today!!!!

1 month:

At 2 weeks Reid weighted 8.7 lbs and was 20 inches.

at 1 month he weighted 10.9.

He smiled on August 18 at6 weeks.

He discovered his hands on August 26th.

He could hold head up on Augus 30h.

On September 7 he was able to turn head toward voices.

first bath

merrick gave big reid a bath on day 4. Merrick does such a good job giving him a bath. Every night he gives him a bath. He sings, lets Reid play in the water, and just have fun! I on the other hand is too scared. I am afriad he might swallow too much water or slip and hit his head.

I am so lucky that Merrick is so laid back!!!

Reid's first trip to he doctor. He only lost .2 ounces. Boy, he was mad that he had to take off his warm clothes.

Mommy and Little Bit

Once we came home from the hospital it took a few days to get organzied and learn the routine but for baby Reid and mommy it was love at first sight.

Before Reid was born Lisa and I wanted to get an old Airstream trailer so when he was old enough to go "out on the road" Jack Kerouac style we would be ready. OK, Lisa was really the one that wanted to get the trailer and of course I did the best I could to make her wish come true. So, here is our new rig........

BABY BOY IS BORN

Today at 7:12 pm Reid Michael was born. At BABY BOY!!!!!! A 6 amish my water was broke and picostin was started. We waited and waited and finally at 4:20ish I was a 10 and it was time to get on with the show. I pushed and pushed and pushed! Reid did not wait to come out. I was so lucky to have my aunt Teena in the room as the nurse.....she had faith in my ability to have this baby! I kept thinking any mintue now the baby will come or my sweet doctor will take him via c-section. I had 8 minutes to go before he was going to come via c-section.......and he came. Merrick said he counted his toes and fingers....looked to see it was a boy.....and went to high five someone.....everyone was busy!!!!

We went to the doctor today. I just knew I was dialated and that baby Kelley was coming soon. Dr. Michael said I was dialted to a 4 and it was time to have the baby. Merrick and I went home, took a shower, ate and took this picture.

Could my belly be any bigger?????
